How it started
A bottle recommended by a waiter, remembered for weeks. A supermarket aisle, just a wall of labels and the hope the £12 one is better than the £9 one. We've spent over thirty years on the other side of that wine list. Wine Cellar Club is the members' side of Milton Sandford Wines, founded in 1990 to supply some of the UK's top hotels, restaurants and gastropubs.

Where your wine lives
Beneath the Berkshire countryside at Knowl Hill, our cellars are a genuine chalk mine. It was an aircraft factory in the Second World War, a classified bunker in the early years of the Cold War, and more recently a filming location for Midsomer Murders. Today it holds our wine. The temperature sits at a constant 12°C, the humidity barely moves, and there is no sunlight or vibration to disturb a bottle.
Come and Visit
We'd love to show you around. We're a working warehouse, so visits happen by appointment, but come whenever suits and we'll walk you through the cellars ourselves.
