Domaine la Rouillère Grande Réserve Rosé
Côtes de Provence · France · 37.5 cl · 12%
On sight it is a pale and shiny golden colour with fine and delicate mousse. On the nose, attractive hints of peach, lemon and elderflower, with a touch of hazelnut and fresh butter. The palate is well balanced and fresh with hints of citrus and light bubbles. An easy, relaxed glass of bubbles when the focus is simply on the good times.
Made using the Charmat method, this Blanc de Blanc is made from a careful selection of grapes, sourced from a number of the complementary terroirs
The Charmat method (or closed tank) is a fermentation done in tanks which turns « quiet » wines into sparkling wines. The name comes from its founder Jean-Eugène Charmat (1907). The fermentation is thermo-regulated at 13°C to preserve the freshness of the wine and lasts at least 3 weeks. The pressure must attain 5 bars. The selection of base wines is made among different grape varieties and depending on the vintage characteristics, in order to obtain the desired style.
