Domaine la Rouillère Grande Réserve Rosé
Côtes de Provence · France · 37.5 cl · 12%
Lovely and golden in the glass with silvery reflections leading to total transparency on the rim of the glass. The wine is bright, crystalline, limpid and has good concentration. On the nose it gradually exudes subtle aromas of white flowers, citrus fruit and dried fruit (hazelnut)The palate is immediate and the attack quite rich. It plays on the relationship between fruit (grapefruit) and minerality (flint), asserting a beautiful balance and a harmony that has already been achieved but which could be perfected in 1 to 2 years.
The Mâcon-Solutré-Pouilly is made from vines in the commune of Solutré-Pouilly, at the foot of the Roche, a famous limestone spur and Grand Site de France. These vines, which are 20 years old, are located in the upper part of the village. Their very clayey terroir allows us to make a rich and very fragrant wine.
As a Non-interventionist, Denis uses very few external products but has not yet converted to being fully organic. The wines go througha very light filtration before bottling, just to make sure the wines are clear.
